SYNOPSIS
Ever since the premature death of his father, 25-year-old Minneapolis
slacker Duncan (Joshua Jackson) is content with shuffling aimlessly
through life, hanging out with his lifelong friends, and ditching one
dead-end job after another.
Duncan takes a job as a handyman in a high-rise that allows him to be
near his gravely ill grandfather Ronald (Donald Sutherland), who's more
than a handful for his grandmother Ruth (Louise Fletcher). That
newfound sense of purpose, plus a budding romance with home healthcare
provider Kate (Juliette Lewis), gives Duncan the motivation to take
charge of his life. However, Kate isn't one to stay in the same place
for too long, and Duncan is soon torn between following her to
California and a new, more responsible life, and his feelings of
familial obligation to an increasingly suicidal Ronald.
This funny and touching family drama from director James Burke, with a
soundtrack featuring music by Minnesota natives Bob Dylan and Paul
Westerberg, has something to say to audiences of all ages.

Based on the true story of Thailand's famed transgender kickboxer,
Beautiful Boxer is a poignant action drama that punches straight into
the heart and mind of a boy who fights like a man so he can become a
woman. Believing he's a girl trapped in a boy's body since childhood,
Parinya Charoenphol sets out to master the most masculine and
lethal sport of Thai boxing to earn a living and to achieve his
ultimate goal of total femininity. Touching, funny and packed with
breathtaking Thai kickboxing sequences, Beautiful Boxer traces Nong
Toom's childhood, teenage life as a traveling monk and grueling days in
boxing camps.
An unlikely criminal is drawn into the underworld of money laundering
in a desperate attempt to overcome his mediocre existence.
Unfortunately, events don’t unfold as he expects and the missing two
million dollars has him begging for his life as he’s dangled from a
bridge. Forced to reconsider his strategy, Sheldon concocts an
elaborate plan involving the Chevrah Kadisha or Burial Society – devout
Jewish men who prepare dead bodies for burial.
For the Burial Society, the inept businessman is the new blood that
they’ve been looking for if their dying tradition is to survive. As far
as Sheldon is concerned, his plans are back on track. But nothing is as
it seems and the old men of the Burial Society are hardly the innocents
that they appear.
THE BURIAL SOCIETY is a gripping, plot-twisting tale of murder and
intrigue – a non-stop suspense thriller that will have audiences
doubting themselves at every turn.

CALLAS FOREVER
SYNOPSIS
Franco Zeffirelli fictionalizes the golden days of Maria Callas,
opera’s most notorious diva, in this luminous tribute to one of the
greatest singers of the 20th century. Fanny Ardant (ELIZABETH, 8 WOMEN)
portrays the brilliant and impetuous Callas, coaxed out of her
self-imposed exile by her long-time friend and former manager, Larry
Kelly (Jeremy Irons) to star in a film version of Carmen. The film
project re-ignites her passion for performance and rekindles her
friendship with Larry, long ago estranged by her difficult nature.
The outstanding supporting cast includes Joan Plowright (TEA WITH
MUSSOLINI) as a music critic and life-long friend of Callas’, the
smoldering Gabriel Garko (HIS SECRET LIFE) as Callas’ May-December
leading man Don José, and dreamy newcomer Jay Rodan as Larry’s
artist boyfriend, Michael, who is inspired by Callas’ recordings to
create beauty.
Mel, an aging scene queen with the ego of Norma Desmond, believes life
is a beauty pageant with him always the winner. But how long can he
sashay down the catwalk when his eye bags are bigger than his Gucci
bags? And who is going to be waiting at the end of the rainbow when
there is no place like home?
Ash is tired of the jaded gay scene where steroid bodies and the
Atkin’s diet are the only offerings on the menu and all the macho
posing only reveals a Farrah Fawcett in the bedroom. Ash decides
the only way for him to find a real man is to click on those Jimmy
Choo’s. Will his foray into the wonderland of tranny burrows and tranny
chasers bring him his dream man?
CUT SLEEVE BOYS is a quirky stir fried journey of self discovery and
ultimately, a makeover of the British Chinese gay experience.

Óttar Thor is a champion soccer star, handsome and arrogant, who
after winning a game casually tells a journalist he’s gay. Imagine the
surprise to his ex-wife, a former Miss Iceland, his teenage son,
already
sullen and troubled, and his father, Thor’s macho coach.
A breezy and feisty dramatic comedy directed by Róbert I.
Douglas, this is a story about a man who, much to the chagrin of his
family, exchanges one sort of domesticity for another. After choosing a
same-sex partner, he is kicked off the championship team where players
are presumably straight. But once a player, always a player, and
Óttar is offered a spot on a team in a basement soccer league
that gay sportsmen from all over Iceland soon insist on joining. The
ensemble cast is pitch perfect, as is the tone in this lively account
of the surprising accommodations people are capable of making.

SYNOPSIS
When the wife of Montreal vice cop Raymond Pope disappears, the trail
leads him to the home of Elizabeth Kane, a disturbingly beautiful woman
who taunts him with information, but denies him any answers. A
dangerous game of cat and mouse ensues as Pope’s investigation reveals
that Elizabeth, along with her servant, Irina, have no documented
history, and seem bizarrely connected to the past - particularly that
of Erszebet Bathory, the Transylvanian countess who murdered 650 women
in order to bathe in their blood. The closer Pope gets, the more
sadistic Elizabeth becomes, systematically targeting those around him
and framing him for their murders. Based on real-life events and
inspired by the look and feel of classic film-noir and the terrifying
storytelling of Hitchcock, Eternal’s
blend of suspense, horror and perverse romanticism walks delicately
between reality and fantasy.

SYNOPSIS
A typical Midwestern 18 year-old freshman at a large state university
eager to delve into the college party life, instead discovers that
school is not the beer-driven, sexual fantasy of his imagination.
Determined to do anything to obtain the girl of his dreams (a gorgeous
but reluctant sorority girl), he decides to adopt a gay identity in
order to insinuate himself in her life.
This casual charade, however, quickly lands him in a morass of campus
activism, gender warfare, fraternity hazes, sorority torture, "coming
out" narratives, political martyrdom, and ultimately, a university-wide
meltdown.
Stephen and Danny are a hip Manhattan gay couple who have it all, until
a surprise visit from Stephen's parents threatens to blow the boys' big
secret.
The secret? Not that they're gay - but that they are hit men for the
mafia! Since Stephen's dad is an FBI agent, the boys are frantic to
keep him in the dark.
They enlist their fellow mobsters to pose as gay waiters at the faux
catering company Stephen "owns" so they can host a party for Dad - with
hilarious complications!
